MEDIATION
Disputes and conflict are a fact of life. Whether it's between family members or work colleagues, the effects can be devastating. Unresolved disputes consume emotions, thoughts, energy, health, time and money.
Mediation is a quick, efficient and cost-effective way of resolving a dispute or conflict. It may also minimise the risk of problems in the future and can save or re-connect important relationships. Mediation is a cooperative decision-making process in which I am the impartial person helping those involved resolve their differences.
The structured process provides a safe and supportive environment in which each person is encouraged to talk openly and have their equal say, as I facilitate communication and plans between individuals.
Mediation encourages the development of a solution everyone can live with. I do not decide the outcome or tell people what to do, but rather help them to reach (and sometimes document) an agreement. |
